terms of service

eligibility

yard is for verified students only, using a valid school email. you must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

your content

you own what you post. by posting, you allow yard to display it to other verified users on your campus per your chosen visibility setting. you're responsible for what you post.

prohibited content

no threats of violence, doxxing (sharing someone's real identity, address, or contact info without consent), child sexual abuse material, or content facilitating illegal activity. everything else — opinions, criticism, jokes, drama — is allowed. see our community guidelines for detail.

payments and subscriptions

plus and prime are recurring subscriptions billed via paystack. boosts, cosmetics, and other one-time purchases are non-refundable once delivered. prime members earn credits from engagement.

credits — virtual currency, no cash value

Credits have no monetary value. Credits are not redeemable for cash. Credits are a virtual in-app currency for entertainment only. You reserve the right to expire or modify credits at any time. No refunds on credits. No chargebacks.

Credits live in the app and can only be spent on boosts, pins, and shop items — they can never be withdrawn, transferred, or exchanged for money, MoMo, or bank payouts of any kind.

anonymity

yard is anonymous by design: you appear to others only as your ghost id, avatar, tier, and campus.

there are no direct messages and no private voice or video calls — every interaction stays public and reportable.

there are no read receipts, no profile bio links, and no verified identity badges of any kind.

we never ask for kyc documents and never show your email, program, level, or storage to other users.

credits have no cash value and can never be cashed out, withdrawn, or exchanged for money, momo, or bank payouts.

if anyone tries to reveal your real identity, report them — doxxing is prohibited and accounts that dox are removed.

account actions

we may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms or our community guidelines, including after a user report and review.

changes

we may update these terms as yard evolves. continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
